Main electrical panel upgrades
From 100A or older split panels up to modern 200A+ service. Required for many solar installs and EV chargers.
When to consider
- Your home was built before 1990 and still has the original panel
- You're planning EV charging or solar (most need 200A minimum)
- You see flickering, breakers trip often, or you smell anything hot near the panel
Whole-home re-wires
Replace original wiring in older homes. Knob-and-tube, aluminum branch circuits, ungrounded outlets — all upgraded to modern code.
When to consider
- Pre-1965 home with original wiring still in place
- Aluminum wiring (fire risk; many insurers now require replacement)
- Major remodel — easier and cheaper during construction
EV charger installation
Level 2 home charging — Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Wallbox, JuiceBox, Emporia. Pair with solar for cheaper charging.
When to consider
- You bought (or plan to buy) any EV
- You want to charge overnight at home rates
- You want to time-shift charging to solar production hours
Lighting & fixtures
Recessed cans, pendants, chandeliers, under-cabinet, outdoor landscape, dimmer + smart-switch installation.
When to consider
- Adding rooms during a remodel
- Replacing original incandescent with LED + smart controls
- Outdoor lighting — pathways, eaves, security floods
Residential & commercial wiring
New circuits, dedicated 240V lines, sub-panels, room additions, commercial buildouts. Up to 400A service.
When to consider
- Room additions or new construction
- Adding 240V appliances (range, dryer, hot tub, welder)
- Commercial tenant improvements
- Workshop or detached structures needing their own service

Every electrical job pulls a city permit. Every job is inspected. Every job is warranted for 10 years on workmanship — same as our solar installs.
Cash-under-the-table electrical work is how people lose insurance coverage and resale value. We don't do it. If it's not permitted, it's not a CaliVolt job.
Honest pricing, fixed quotes.
We send a licensed electrician to walk the job — free for residential work under 100 miles from our service centers. No charge for the consultation, no charge for the quote.
You get a fixed-price written quote, not an hourly estimate. The number on the proposal is the number you pay. If we hit something unexpected mid-job (it's rare), we stop and call you before adding anything.
50% deposit on jobs over $5,000. Balance due at completion — after inspection sign-off, not before. You only pay in full when the work is done and signed off.
